Let Yourself Feel
Nice story here. Motion graphic artist Esteban Diácono created a beautiful animation inspired by the song "Ljósið" by Ólafur Arnalds. Within 21 days, Arnalds requested to piece become the official video for the song.

Human Specimens
Artist Michael Mapes' Human Specimens series distills the portrait into a collection of distinct and relevant materials. The outcome is engaging, inviting the viewer to take in the miniscule elements that make up the whole. (via CreativeLeague)

Attack of the 'Plattenbauten'
"Plattenbauten" = buildings made with precast concrete slabs. This short film created by visual effects student Jan Schönwiesner is quite transfixing.

The Dead Photos
No, not pictures of the Grateful Dead. This is photographer Tom Phillips' personal work, The Dead Photos, where he documents himself in various locations "playing dead".

Photographer Hans Kemp has published a pictorial documenting extreme cases of two-wheeled cargo overload in Vietnam. A perfect example of "if there's a will, there's a way." (via ignant)

Invader's Rubik's Pixels
French artist, Invader, blows up pixel to mega size using Rubik's cubes, tiles, and such to create mosaic images of pop culture icons – namely video game characters and album art. His "Rubik London Calling" is made from 400 Rubick's cubes. You can pick it up for a cool $17Gs from Jonathan LeVine Gallery. (via worldfamousdesignjunkies)

Bunnywax
Double Punch, in San Francisco, hosted 'Double Trouble' – an exhibition of nine emerging artists who sought mentorship from other artists who's work inspires them. John Casey is one of those stand-out talents.

The Longest Way
Christoph Rehage embarked on a year-long foot trek through China, documenting his changing portrait along the way. The result is an amazing time-lapse video transformation. I especially like the occasional points of stop-motion with travel companions and surrounding landscapes.
