LP Cover Lover
Enjoy a nice browse through some long-lost LP covers? LP Cover Lover has quite a stunning array of "the weird and wonderful world of record covers from the golden age of LPs." You can almost smell the musty bins filled with tattered records.

People Watching
There's nothing like plopping down in a major thoroughfare and just people watching. Danish photographer Simon Høgsberg has built an entire body of work based on surveillance in public spaces. In his pursuit, Høgsberg has captured a range of intimate expressions that are at once superreal and authentic. I especially enjoyed his 100 meter long image: “We're All Gonna Die — 100 meters of existence.”

Thomas Allen
Being a fan of pulp fiction covers and pop-up books, I couldn't help but gravitate towards the work of Thomas Allen. He selects the pulpiest of paperbacks, slices out the covers, folds them into position, and constructs a totally different scenario out of them. From there he photographs the tableaux in shallow focus, rendering his prints with the dreamy effect similar to a View-Master stereoscope toy. It's no surprise that Chip Kidd has already discovered him. As an extra added bonus, check out his book and his blog.

Polite Dance Song
The affable Tim and Eric comedy duo are known for their surreal brand of humor, especially their videos. But did you know Eric directs music videos too? The one he directed for The Bird and the Bee, Polite Dance Song, is great - so right on the money to their brand of humor.

Muxtape
OK. So you've all been Pandoraing away for years now, discovering new artists based on your musical preferences via internet radio (and buying artists CDs right?).

Well, along comes Muxtape, "a minimalist platform for bands to promote their music and listeners to create mixes." The UI is beautifully minimalistic.

The Bubble Project
I saw this ad for Watchmen in the subway tunnel at West 4th and thought the Obama addition was brilliant. I love seeing artifacts of people's creativity in public spaces. It reminded me of other ads I've seen around New York created through The Bubble Project. This project encourages people to transform public space from "corporate monologues into open public dialogues...." Just download bubbles, print and paste.
