Balloon Flight
Cluster Ballooning. It's an uncommon form of ballooning where a single balloonist is attached by harness to a cluster of helium-inflated balloons, and up you go.

How do you control your flight pattern? You don't. It's uncontrollable. How do descend? You periodically pop balloons to maintain altitude and eventually descend.

There's plenty of fictional tales depicting this form of flight, like Curious George and the likes. But I didn't know people were actually doing it! Kids, do not try this at home!

Bon Iver!
If you get a chance to check these guys out live, it's really worth the small price of admission. I found the show even better -and more haunting - then the already great album.

Time To Winterize
Out of Canada comes Ktrak. Forget about your favorite skis, that new board you got last year, and get the latest in downhill excitement. This snow kit will “redefine the meaning of mountain bike.” Convert your current bike into a winter ride. You can not only go downhill, but if you can ride up the hill in the summer, you will be able to ride up it in the snow with your new Ktrak kit. You have to see the photos and videos of the equipment in action to truly understand.

Marsha?
Did you know you could watch a ton of classic Twilight Zone episodes online? You have to endure some ads, but they're worth the wait in my opinion.

When I was little, I remember the local TV station used to broadcast the Twilight Zone Marathon all day on Thanksgiving. It was such the perfect post-feast digestif.

Some of my favorites are The After Hours, To Serve Man, and The Invaders.

Apple Takes Germany by Storm
Willy Kaemena captured the mob scene Saturday morning when Apple opened its flagship Munich retail outlet — the first Apple Store in Germany. A huge crowd showed up, and it’s all there in

QTVR — QuickTime virtual reality.

According to the store’s official website, Apple employees were going to hand out T-shirts to the first 2,500 people who showed up. Judging from the panorama, they didn’t bring enough.

Meet Rovio
Need to keep tabs on your pets, home, or kids, while you're away? Meet Rovio This Wi-Fi enabled mobile web cam lets you see, hear, and interact with Rovio's surroundings via an online interface. Not only can you see the remote location, you can use the built in speaker to talk to anyone who might be in the same room. “Intruder, you are being watched. Please Leave Now.” Rovio will tell you when it's time to charge up, letting you tell it to return to the charging station with one click, and you can add additional TrueTrack beacons to help the little guy self-navigate around your pad.

Price Reduction Alert!
Price reduction alert! Originally listed back in April for $65mil, you can now get your hands on this hot Pacific Heights property for a cool $48 clams.

Designed by Henry Clay Smith and built in 1927 for Milton Ray, who acquired the parcel of land in 1925 from future-President Herbert Hoover, this Italian Renaissance monster has 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, 4-car garage, a den, study, library, oh yea - and a tennis court. It also features a 'curio room' that used to house the original owner's "extensive oological collection."

Take a virtual tour and see what all the fuss is about. And here's the listing in case you want to make an offer.

Obsessive Photo Project
Jonathan Keller, a designer from NY, possibly best known for his Daily Photo project, where he took a photo of himself every day for 10 years and compiled a film with the stills, also maintains a nice site featuring some of his other projects.

The related links page has some other amazing 'obsessive photo project' references. My favorite is Exactitudes.

Dopamine
The folks over at Insight51, makers of surf/skate-inspired clothing, swimsuits and yes, surfboards continue to put together exceptionally creative "campaigns"/films promoting the seasonal lines.

Dopamine, their 2008 campaign "journeys across the globe, deep into the minds of creativity, past the desolate plains, beneath the ocean, through the jungle and out the other side."

Meet PUYO
Honda recently unveiled this concept car that is clean, functional and environmentally friendly. The development theme for the exterior was to create a cornerless, ‘Seamless Soft Box’ form that is kind to both people and the environment. The team wanted to create a personable design with the feel of an adorable pet, while taking advantage of the maximum spaciousness of the box-shaped design. The Honda PUYO’s ‘gel body’ features soft materials to promote greater real-world safety. Moreover, the body has been made luminescent to guide people into the proper operating position and notify them of the vehicle’s condition.

For Sale : London Underground
If you have $7.4 million laying around this holiday season why not buy your loved one a secret tunnel that stretches a mile under downtown London. The tunnels were built during World War II as bomb shelters for about 8,000 people and were designed to allow them to survive for five weeks shut off from the outside world. A slide show of the mysterious real estate can be here.
